Problem: Client has upgraded their Play Attention software and now lab stations will not connect. Solution: Run pa_network_config.exe on all computers. Complete this process on all iLab computers (including the Master Monitor) 1) Close Play Attention and end process web2py.exe (or restart computer). 2) Open <Computer> from the desktop or windows start menu. 3) Follow path: Local Disk C:/ProgramFiles/PlayAttention/PA5 4) Double click <pa_network_config>. 5) Set Configuration Mode: Configure for Both 6) Choose Yes if asked whether you want to be setup for networking. 7) Status and Monitor ID information will appear. Click <Setup> at the bottom of this screen. 8) Click <Update Firewall> at the bottom of the next screen. 9) Once finished, Firewall Rules Updated will appear, click OK. 10) Click <Done> and then <Done> again on the next screen. *Monitor IP information should still be saved on each station. If however the station is still unable to connect, cross reference the Monitor IP in Lab Setup (System>Setup>Lab) |
