iLab Setup

When setting up your Play Attention iLab, you will need one computer for each student station and one computer for the coach's station.

Install the Play Attention software and all available add on games on every computer. After installation you have 2 ways to turn iLab on.

First way is from the System Setup page:

Click on the Enabled button to turn it on. After turning iLab on you will see a dropdown menu where you will select iCloud and then click save. Do not click on Master Machine. That will be explained later in the manual. Once you click save Play Attention will re-boot and you will be taken back to the login screen.

The second way to turn iLab on is from the login page. Click on iLab Settings in the upper left-hand corner of the screen

.

Clicking the iLab Settings button you will see a new window open and this is where you will turn on iLab. Click the enabled button.

After turning iLab on you will then click on the drop-down menu and select iCloud. Remember do not click on Master Machine. That will be discussed later in the manual. Click Apply and Play Attention will re-boot and you will be back at the login page.

You can now login to the coach's computer and create your students and coaches.

Refer to your Play Attention 6 user's manual to learn how to create coaches and students.

On every student station you will do the same process has you did on the coach's station to turn iLab on.

You may now set up the BodyWave device on each student station. Refer to your Play Attention 6 user's manual to learn how to set up the BodyWave device.

You do not need to set up a BodyWave device on the coach's computer.

Congratulations! Your Coach's Station and Student Stations are now ready for sessions.

iLab Session:

The coach will login to the coach's station using your username and password.

Each student will login to a student station using their username and password. When you login as coach, you will select View iLab, in order to see your students

Once you are at the iLab viewer you will see the students who have logged into their session.

Once the student starts a game, you will see live streaming data for each student.

Clicking the eye, you will be brought to the student's game page.

Here you can view the current game and turn on the behavior rating scale.

Game Data: Real time streaming game data.

Behavior Tracking: Here you can input the behavior rating for that game. Once the student completes the game, the student will receive the message: Waiting for coach to input behavior data. Once the coach submits the data, the student will be able to go to the game data page. If the coach does not submit the data within 1 minute, the student will be allowed to move on to the game data page. The coach will have an option to input behavior data at the end of the session.

If you do not have time to complete the behavior rating scale during the session, you can do so after the session has been closed.

To do this, exit the iLab viewer and select Users tab. Select your student. Locate the    session you want to add behavior data to and select Review Session.

Scroll down and select Edit Behavior Data.

Select the individual game and input the behavior data for that game.

Click submit. Do this process for each game in the session.

When you click on the stats icon from the student's game data page, it will bring you to the stats page for this session. You will be able to see the static stats from all games played so far plus live streaming of current game.

Click on the talk bubble from the iLab viewer will allow you to initiate a text chat, audio call, or video call.

Completing the session:

When your student is done with the iLab session, they can Close Session and Logout. See the main PA6 user's manual with more information on logging out of a session.

Setting Up the Master Machine (Not iCIoud):

This is the computer where the coach will monitor all students. After entering your Site License from the setup page, you can choose to enable iLab.

You can also enable iLab and set the master station from the login screen by clicking the "iLab Settings" button in the upper left corner.

When prompted, select the Enabled button on the iLab Settings

If this is your Master Machine, make certain to also select Master Machine in the iLab Settings. You will have to enter a name for your iLab.

All student computers will connect to this via your IP address. This will allow the coach to easily monitor all student data during the session.

Once you set up your Master Machine, all of your iLab environment information will be displayed on the login screen. If you do not know your IP address, click on the iLab environment info tab to see your IP address. You will need this information for all of your student stations.

Additionally, you can enter your iLab Settings from the System Settings page from within PA6 when you login as the System Admin or a coach with Admin Privileges.

You can now login on the Master Machine and create all your coaches and students. Make certain that you always create your students and coaches on your Master Machine.

Refer to your Play Attention 6 user's manual to learn how to create coaches and students.

Setup of the Remote Client

If you are working with a client remotely you will need to help them setup their Play Attention software on their computer and issue them a license key. You do not need to do anything with your software.

*Remember if your client is going to be using any add on games those need to be installed on your client’s machine as well.

You will need to create your client’s username and password and share that with them. They will not be able to create profiles or edit their profile. If anything needs to be changed you will have to do that on your side.

After they have installed the Remote Client software on their machine, they will be prompted to enter a license key.

Next you will run the License Key Generator and issue them the key that is displayed.

You will notice that this is your key. There will be an extra set of numbers for your client’s machine. Click Generate a Client Key.

If you are working with them on their machine you can click the copy to clipboard and paste it into Play Attention. If you are not, then you will need to give your client their license key.

Have your client fill in their information to finish installation. Guide them through the rest of the setup. Make sure iLab is turned on and iCIoud is selected. Help setup the BodyWave armband and run a game to make sure there are no errors.

Please refer to the PA6 Manual on setting up the BodyWave armband.

Once all is complete have your client log out and log in as system admin. This will trigger the automatic backup and pull their data down. You will notice that the client only has access to System Setup tab and the Games tab.

After the client logs out of system admin have them login with the credentials that you created for them.

When you client logs in they will do their session and you will be able to coach them remotely. All of the iLab features are the same.
