Downloading and installing software from support site

If you have a previous version of Play Attention 5 on your computer we do recommend that you do a backup of your data prior to loading the new version.  In order to do a backup of your data, you may export your data to your desktop. Login to Play Attention as coach, go to the <System> menu, choose <Manager Users>, click <Export Database>, click <Export>, and choose Save File when prompted.  You will now see an <exported.zip> file stored on your computer’s desktop.

PC

1. First access your downloads from the support site: click here.  This will reveal all of the downloads you have at your disposal. (You will need your login identification that should have been provided to you in an email.)

2. From the list, select the file you would like to download. You’ll immediately be asked to “Save” or “Open”.  Either option is acceptable, though if you choose “Open”, the download process will begin automatically.  With the “Save” option, you’ll have to choose a location to save the file.  If you save the file, be certain to save it to the desktop or some other location that is easily found.

Make sure the USB adapter sent with your system is plugged into an available USB port BEFORE you start the install process.

3. Once the download is finished, double click on the exe file to begin installation.  Click <Run>. This will take you to the Play Attention Setup Wizard.

4. Click <Next>, and then <I Agree> to accept the End User License Agreement.

5. Now, you will be asked where you wish Play Attention to be installed.  Simply click <Next>, (the software defaults to the correct location). Next you will be asked to create the program’s shortcuts (defaults to Play Attention which creates a new folder within your Start Menu). Click <Install>.

6. Once installation is successful, it should now say, “Completed”.  Please click <Next>, and then <Finish>.

You should now have a new Play Attention icon on your desktop.

Mac

**If you have a previous version of Play Attention, delete any copies made on your desktop. Do NOT delete the icon in your Applications folder**

NOTE: You will need to completely reboot your computer immediately BEFORE installing software.

1.  First access your downloads from the support site: click here.  This will reveal all of the downloads you have at your disposal.

2. From the list, please select the Play Attention version you would like for OSX. Choose <Save File> when prompted.

3. Once the download is finished, double click on the file labeled <Playattention(version#).pkg>.

4. Welcome to the Play Attention Installer window will appear.

5. Click <Continue>

6. Click <Install> (You will be asked to enter your Administrator’s username and password to allow)

7. Once install has succeeded click <Close>

To access the program, go back to your computer’s main desktop, click on <Go>, and then go to <Applications>.  Locate Play Attention icon.
