Installing a "Kinivo" USB adapter when you have Internal Bluetooth.

Most computer systems should work right away by following the basic "How to pair your bluetooth" instructions.
However, if you have followed those instructions and receive an error message such as low sample rate, etc.  Please call tech support or follow instructions below:



*Make sure to turn the internal Bluetooth off*


  1. Go to add and remove programs and if there is any software for Bluetooth remove it

  2. Open Device Manager

  3. Click on Bluetooth icon and locate the driver that is for your machine (i.e. intel/Realtek) right click that driver and disable it. 

  4. Uninstall all remaining drivers.

  5. In Device Manager click view and click on show hidden devices.  Remove any and all Bluetooth devices that were hidden.

  6. On the desktop type run in the search box

  7. Type services.msc

  8. Double click on Bluetooth Support Service

  9. From the drop down menu select automatic (not the one that says “delayed automatic”)

    1. Click stop then run again and apply the changes and save

    2. Reboot

  10. After reboot check and make sure all changes were made

  11. Go to www.kinivo.com to download drivers

  12. Install drivers but do not have the dongle plugged in

  13. During the installation it will prompt and say “no Bluetooth devices found” plug the dongle in and installation will continue.

  14. After installation is complete open device manager and check Bluetooth and devices and what should be installed is Broadcom BCM2070 Bluetooth 3.0 USB device and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator.

    1. Remember you should have one device that is still disabled

  15. On the desktop right click toolbar

  16. Click on settings

  17. Scroll down and in Notification area click on select which icons appear on the taskbar

  18. Change always show all icons in the notification area to off

  19. Scroll down and find Bluetooth Tray Application and set it to on

    1. Bluetooth icon should be visible on the taskbar

  20. Double click icon and pairing menu should open.  Device should become visible and the code to pair is 0000.

  21. After successful with pairing you are now ready to open PA6 and set up your device
