Update Release Notes :: 6.2.23 (November 21st, 2018)

This update release for PA6 incorporates changes to our Privacy Policy in accordance to the European Union’s

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR.) This regulation requires that online use of your private data be

transparent and allow you as the user to revoke the right to the use of that data. Play Attention has never sold or

shared any of our customers’ data. But, as a function of our online storage for backups we were storing some

Personally Identifiable Information (PII) on our secured servers. As of the 6.2.23 released update that policy has

changed. We will no longer store any PII on our servers. The only data that is transferred to our servers is data

that is decoupled from the User’s PII. So, no names, phone numbers, or email addresses are stored on our

servers.

We understand that for many of you the use of Names, Email and Phone Numbers may be an essential part of

your professional workflow. Therefore, as a convenience we have enabled a way for our software to maintain

those data sets on your local hard drive. This means that if you choose to use PII data in the PA6 application, we

will automatically decouple that data from our online storage service.

When your Users log into the application for the first time after installing PA6.2.23 they will see our “Privacy Policy” popup. They will be required to acknowledge that they have read the policy before continuing into PA6. The “Privacy Policy” is also stored within the application itself and can be found by clicking on dropdown menu > Help > Privacy Policy.

For users with multiple computers, including our iLab customers, your Users’ PII data, should you choose to use it, will need to be input on each machine. This is a function of the PII data only being stored on the local hard-

drive.
